InterServ Sunday

Every Second Sunday of the month is InterServ Sunday at Hyde Valley United Methodist Church.  Donations are collected in the back of the sanctuary.

InterServ donations needed at this time are:

Cereal

Oatmeal

Tuna

Boxed Dinners

Canned Spaghetti

Chili

Beef Stew

Our worship service will start at 10:45am      

Sunday School from 9:15 to 10:15am                                              Fellowship from 10:15 until 10:40am 

No fellowship after the worship service.

Our church is participating in an evangelical program called: “Small Church Initiative”

This program is sponsored by the Missouri Conference Center of Congregational Excellence, a division of Healthy Church Initiative.  This is a pilot program in the Missouri Conference of the UMC and is target to small churches with great desire to grow and to involve the community around the church. We were invited because our church is working already in the direction to reaching out our community.  Six churches are participating in this program and it will last for a year. Our team members will meet once a month to evaluate the process and progress developing outward ministry.

Every other month our team will meet in Maysville UMC with the other five teams from other five small churches from the North West Missouri Area of the UMC whom also are doing efforts to transform their communities for Christ as well. Our coach is the author, Kay Kotan and our team will meet in Maysville on March 14, April 17, July 24, September 18 and November 13.
